Hi Matt you actually have some great questions.

What made you pick those three cities? I favor Pasadena only because I've lived in Pasadena my whole life. Burbank prices have gone up in the last couple years and so has Granada Hills. Pasadena didn't lose too much value during the recession and is a very stable city when it comes to home values.

As far as if prices are going to go up or down. My personal opinion it will probably stay the same for the time being. Who knows what the market holds everything is just technically opinions or speculations. Either way buying a home in a good area is going to be a great investment.

I finally completed my profile on here and looking to invest seriously either by my self or with investment partners. My dads been investing in real estate for a long time (buy and hold, flipping, renting,commercial, etc) and now its time for me to start investing. I'm excited to be a part of this website as I have noticed alot of people seem to be helpful and actually meet up and discuss ideas on investing in real estate. I live in Los Angeles so I will be mainly looking in cheaper areas in california possibly Fresno and out of state as well. Atlanta seems like a great area to invest in which I will be researching about.
