So I just asked the seller. He's got some additional costs for construction built into his loan, proposed plan is to do a wrap around mortgage on the property.

Basically I'm wanting to buy a house for 100k (agreed upon by seller) but found out the seller had just purchased the house a month ago for 112.5k.  Seems fishy to me, but wondering how common this situation is.  I'm new to real estate.

Hi All,

I'm looking into purchasing a distressed property (2/1) in Beacon Hill from a turnkey house flipping company.  I've negotiated the price down to 100k for the property itself, not including renovations, but when I started doing research on the property it turns out there is a vendor's lien showing it was purchased by this company for 112.5k plus points.  Should I be concerned?  Plan is to have a structural engineer come out and look at the place prior to closing.

Thanks,

Victor

Hi All,

I'd like introduce myself to the Bigger Pockets community!  My name is Victor and, aside from having bought and sold my first house, am very much new to real estate.  I have a 9-5 job and would like to start doing some flips on the side.

I'll be attending the San Antonio RENC meeting this upcoming Tuesday, June 23rd and hope to meet some of you there!

Kind Regards,

Victor
