While I have not used Quicken Loans myself, the stories I’ve heard will keep me away. Highly recommend a bank and a broker who can work with you on the underwriting process.

Thank you Mike

Quicken Loans called me today and they offered to reduce interest from 3.625 to 2.875 with closing costs of $5K. The guy was really pushy asking for my credit card number to charge $500 as part of the $5K as the rest of the closing costs would be factored into the loan principal. I didn't feel comfortable with his attitude and told him I needed to make sure this was not a scam and he finally said he will call me back on Monday. Any experience with Quicken Loans please share. Thanks!

Thank you All! Great feedback.

I am thinking of requesting a mortgage loan with a lender (other than traditional bank) and my agent recommended CALIBER HOME LOANS servicing MD/VA/DC/FL. I would like to know if anybody has experience working with this lender. Thanks for your help!

@Theresa Harris. I took a course with Coach Carson www.CoachCarson.com and it was great. The course was very well structured and not too expensive. The best part is you get automatically set up for free courses for life. I have repeated the main course 3 times as I learn something new in each session. He is the best teacher. Try one of his free classes and then decide. Best wishes.

Check out Scotiabankcr.com, its a Canadian bank I normally use when I go to Costa Rica once a year. they might have mortgage loans for Americans. Interest rates tent to be higher than in the US. Regarding location Atenas is a good area, I have a house a few miles from there and my hometown is close as well. Atenas belongs to the Alajuela province where the climate is very pleasant and it's only an hour from the beach and centrally located from many touristic attractions. Feel free to ask questions about the country. Good luck to you!

I am looking at Raleigh as well, I notice the population growth is amazing, it must be a good market. I am looking for wholesalers in BP but so far no luck.

Good luck!

Did you run the analysis? Look at the numbers to make a decision based on facts. I can help if you don't know how to do that. Or watch BP webinars on wednesdays, Brandon always explains how to do that.
