It's called Real Estate Wealth Expo Atlanta. With Suze Orman, someone from HGTV , Les Brown, the guy from Shark Tank, and a couple others. It's this Saturday, May 7th in Atlanta.

I received two free tickets to attend a huge Real Estate Wealth Expo in Atlanta with several celebrity speakers. It's an all day event. I'm sceptical of these huge expos and just wanted some opinions on whether it's worth attending, or will I just be pressured to pay a lot of money for something I don't really need? I'm more apt to attend small local REI meetings than get sucked into a lot of hype. Thanks in advance!

I'm new and still gathering info. No properties yet as still stuck on where to start. My question is this:

My husband's coworker just expressed that he was having to move out of his rented home of several years because the owner wants to sell. Should we contact the seller and see what his story is? If so, how should I start this conversation and what should I ask other than, "why are you selling?"? I would love to take this over if possible and let the current renters stay.

You guys are awesome. Thanks for the advice and the recommendations. I'm hoping to attend a meeting Monday evening if I get out of work on time, and am scheduled to speak with an accountant next week. Makin' it real.

I'm a newbie from Canton, GA. I've spent the last few months reading countless blogs, listening to podcasts on every run and every ride to work. Yesterday, I turned in my resignation letter after ten years of breaking my back in Healthcare as an X-ray tech at my hospital. I'm ready to jump in and pursue this venture with my husband. I'm seeking to network and pick the brains of any investors in the Canton, Woodstock, Marietta, and other North Atlanta areas.

My first question is regarding the structuring of my business. Should I speak to an accountant and establish an LLC or whatever, BEFORE I aquire my first property? Any recommendations on this and how to get started?

Hello! My husband and I recently married over a year ago. We have both been married before and have six grown kids and two grands between the two of us. We had been saving and planning to buy our own home within the next 9-12 months, but have also considered investing in real estate, as well as becoming agents, so we might have the freedom to spend with our families and each other during this next phase of our lives. My question is.... should we spend our savings on our own home, or on an investment property first?
