Hi all, I can't even introduce myself as a new investor as I'm not even there yet. More accurately, I'm in the information gathering phase. Reading about forced appreciation. How do you estimate how much the renovations that you do to a house add to the value of the home? Is there a rule of thumb? Or a good resource? Thanks! Vishana

I'm just beginning my real estate investment journey and am currently in the information gathering stage. What's your favorite sites to use for keeping your eye on the market (ie Zillow, Realtor.com, etc). If anyone has any experience with investing in Long Island NY I'd love to hear which towns are good ones to invest in.
