Melissa, I am looking into doing Airbnb myself so I've put a little research into it. AirDNA is a great tool to predict occupancies. Make sure your market can support it. Unless there is a lot of business travel or it's a destination location with attractions, it's going to be difficult. Also, check your local government to make sure it is legal. It sounds like you really like the house so, as with any real estate purchase, always have a good exit strategy, or in this case, make sure it will still be a viable long term rental.

Hi all,  there are a couple of apartment complexes that are in bankruptcy I found out about.  Both of them are all 1 bedroom complexes.  One is located near a military base.  Does anyone have any thoughts or experience on this?

Hi Gary,

I'm an investor and realtor from Wichita.  I would join several Facebook groups for investors in Wichita including whole properties and there's a Wichita Real estate investor group too.  I would hit up some of McCurdy's auctions and gather cards of investors to get a quick start.  I have a partner that has wholesaled successfully here so I have a little knowledge.
