The house is a 4bd/2bath close to campus - mostly looking to fix indoor walls (dents, cracks etc), windows, and tidy up the crawlspace?

Have you used any good companies in the area that you would recommend?

Brett Neal with E&G Builders is a good dude - I'd try him https://www.egbuilders.net/

Quote from @Adele Tegger:

Hello,

I’ve been involved in real estate investing for about a year now, so I’m still relatively new to the game. Currently, I have two single-family homes: one in Orange County, CA, which generates excellent cash flow, and another in Fort Collins, CO, where I live and rent out the basement apartment as a furnished mid-term. As an attorney by profession, my legal background has been a valuable asset in navigating contracts and regulations, and I’ve successfully self-managed my properties.

Now, I’m looking for my next investment—a single-family home in Fort Collins, ideally to rent to college students—and I’m interested in partnering with someone who shares the same goals.

What I bring to the table:

  • Cash
  • Legal expertise
  • Willingness to manage the property

What I’m looking for in a partner:

  • Strong deal analysis skills
  • Experience in real estate investing
  • Knowledge of how to find the right opportunities
  • Cash

If you think there’s potential for collaboration, I’d love to chat!

Quote from @Constantinos Zavos:

Hello everyone,

I am relatively new to RE Investing and currently own a house in Columbia, SC. I manage it from NY where I live full time and I am trying to make a few key connections in the SC area that could help me manage the house remotely.

I am looking to make some fix-ups to the house this summer so wanted to see if any recommendations for good contractors / handymen / repair companies that I could hire. My goal is to keep investing in the area so would be more of a long-term partnership.

Any advice on how to best hire / monitor / manage work done on a property remotely would be greatly appreciated!

Happy to help if I can.

Can you provide more context on the house, budget, etc?

What sounds ideal?

Columbia, SC. College Park area, North Main.  Area is a little shaky  but homes for 50-100k. Good clean up area with grant money.

Just my .02

I'd personally be careful buying in 29203. That is the toughest zip code in Columbia SC to invest IMO.

Some sections are fine, but more out of town people lose $$$ there than any other zip code in Columbia.
