It says "borrower shall occupy the property as principal residence for at least one year after the date of occupancy, unless Lender otherwise agrees in writing, which consent shall not be unreasonably withheld, or unless extenuating circumstances exist which are beyond borrower's control."

Hi all, has anyone had any experience with renting out their primary residence shortly after refinancing it? We refinanced a couple of months ago and will be moving due to a job promotion. We would like to keep our house and rent it out but there is a clause stating it has to be our primary residence for 1 year after refinance. Is there any way of getting the mortgage company to agree to allow renters or do we need to sell it?
