Hello!

I'm buying in Brownsville soon, but want to interview quite a few people first.
I'm trying to find agents that work with out-of-state investors. Escrow companies that are responsive and communicate well. Title companies that go above and beyond in the chance that there is something funky with the title report. And recommended property managers for single-family homes.

I would love some more information about that area if someone knows more about it/lives there. I will be taking a trip there in about two months to check it out for myself.

Thanks :)

Good day people!

I am in escrow on my own home here in San Diego CA and will be using the money to buy property in Brownsville.
After looking around online I decided it would be easier to ask the people here for some advice. I would like to talk to a few title reps, a few realtors, and some property managers that cover the Brownsville TX area.
But more importantly, Does anyone live there? Or have you at least visited? What do I need to know about investing in Brownsville (or texas in general) that I don't know?

Thanks everyone

@Heather Johnson Long story short. I read the book Elon Musk, by ashlee vance. After reading it and knowing how fast technology is moving, it's my uneducated assumption that around brownsville is going to need many more homes. With spacex being there, and elon finding ways to do whatever he thinks is better than any other human is doing, I can't not see a future in brownsville. Again, all this is just me assuming, but if he is needing 10,000 more jobs for Tesla over the next couple of years, then he is going to be needing even more jobs for space x to make his dreams a reality. You should read his book, and also The future is faster than you think by
Peter H. Diamandis and Steven Kotler. Those two books will give you an inspiring vision for the future. Did you know we have drones that can plant 100,000 trees in a day? Crazy stuff.

Hello! I live in San Diego and I'm selling my home this month and using the money to invest in Brownsville, TX. I found an agent to work with and a lender(for now). I need a good property manager though. It's a small town so I'm sure there isn't many options for property managers there or in the surrounding area. This will be my first investment and would prefer to have someone to manage the property because I want to buy a few places there this year. I appreciate any advice and information. Thank you!
