@Mike M., we are relatively new to REI and my main concern was marketing and leads. They provided us a lot of leads and that was what fueled our quick success. Drawback is if someone is the type of person that needs a lot of assistance and/or mentoring, this is probably not going to be as effective. The leads are from all over the country and are mostly subject to type deals so you'd have to be comfortable with that. We haven't needed a lot of help but when we did they are pretty accessible.

My wife and I did both as well. We have had a lot of success with the program, we contracted 7 houses in the first two months, and we’ve sold two and have two others under contract. I highly recommend the 90 day apprentice for self starters. No hand-holding so you need to be somewhat autonomous. Help is there when you need it. Great program for people who are okay with reading and self-teaching.
