As someone new to real estate investing, its obvious I need to work on expanding my network within the real estate community and I'm hoping to get out to some meet up events soon. Networking events and seminars are nothing new to me, but does anyone have tips specific for real estate investing. What sort of questions or discussion topics have you found most useful/productive? What were your top priorities and goals of your first networking meetups? Thanks for the advice

@Account Closed Hi Rudy, thanks for the welcome. It would be great to hear more about upcoming meet ups to network with you and others. I am often in Orange County so that may work well. Appreciate the information.

I am a new investor who is looking to learn as much as I can about real estate. I live in southern California (LA and Orange County) and am most interested in buy and hold properties. I am currently employed in the advisory practice of a public accounting firm and will soon be a licensed CPA.

I am a few years out of college and am at a point where I can look to expand my investments. I have recently become interested in real estate as a potential option. As I am completely new to the game, I joined the BiggerPockets community with the intent of learning all that I can about real estate. I am working my way through the books/forums on BiggerPockets and have turned off my radio to listen to the podcasts during my commutes. Right now, I am probably looking at buy and hold property to build equity and make a little cash.

I look forward to all the advice on how to get started as well as networking opportunities to expand my real estate and general business connections which this community has to offer.
