Hey Mike, great to know that you are interested in Ohio market. Columbus in particular has experienced so much growth for the past few years, partly due to the influx of tech giants like Intel ($20 billion), Meta, Amazon, and Google building warehouses and data centers in the area, which has contributed to an increase in property prices and more people moving into the city for job opportunities.

I invest locally here in Columbus Ohio. I can send you a list of contacts in Ohio to help you build your team, property manager. I also invest in Cleveland and Dayton. Let me know how I can help!

Hello Kevin, Columbus, Ohio is a great market to pick up rental properties because of the lower home prices and demand from renters. JPMorgan Chase, Nationwide, Honda, L Brands, Huntington, and Amazon are just a few of the many companies that have thousands of jobs in the city.

New Albany is home to several major data centers including ones operated by Amazon, Google and Facebook, whose parent company, Meta, announced plans in the spring to expand its New Albany campus.

I prefer to start in the midwest, because the entry point is much lower and cash flows the best. As long as you develop your Core 4 like David Green’s mentioned in his long-distance investing strategy (realtor, contractor, property manager, and lender), you should be able to invest anywhere with confidence. I buy in Columbus, Ohio. Hello Shalini, I'm glad to hear that you are considering investing in Ohio for the first time. Starting in the Midwest is really great a choice because the entry point is much lower and cash flows the best. In addition to Toledo, have you thought about Columbus and Cleveland? Columbus has experienced significant growth in terms of job opportunities and population. Let me know how I can help you.

Welcome to BiggerPockets Melanie! It is a great place to learn about real estate investing. I understand your excitement about taking the plunge into real estate investing. It's a thrilling and rewarding world, but it can also be overwhelming for newcomers. My advice would be to start small and do your research. Educate yourself on the local market, network with other investors and agents, and always have a solid plan in place before making any investments. Good luck on your journey and feel free to reach out if you ever need any guidance or advice.

There are plenty of options for multifamily properties here in Ohio. If you're new to being a landlord, I suggest starting with a turnkey cash flow rental. It's a simple way to get a sense of what it's like to manage a property without the added stress of rehab projects. I myself began investing in a small multifamily property in Columbus, Ohio two years ago. The cost of entry is low, but the potential cash flow is high. Columbus is currently the only market in Ohio that has experienced rapid growth in both jobs and population. If you're interested, I can provide you with a list of contacts in Ohio who can help you build your team and find a reliable property manager. Let me know how I can help!
