An Investor Spotlight Event: With Feedback from the Whole Room!

The last in person meeting, the "Investor Workshop" was a hit, so we're trying something new this month as well. An "Investor Spotlight" where investors in the room can share their business problems, dilemmas, and opportunities in front of them. The whole room will then be able to provide their thoughts and insight to generate ideas to provide value.

This could really move the needle for folks, and even if you don't want to be in the 'spotlight,' you'll likely get some extremely valuable feedback that you can apply to your business. We'd value your feedback as well.

We'll try to get a good mix of spotlights and topics and here are some possible examples:

  • Someone with no deal, who's ready to buy but feeling unsure
  • A new investor looking to scale
  • A more seasoned investor with an opportunity in front of them
  • A vendor, such as a realtor or contractor, looking to specialize with investors

Spotlights will be a first come first serve basis. This meeting has great potential, and should be a blast!

Jason Lund

Jason is a real estate entrepreneur, coach, mentor and REIA partner. Jason is a partner at WiscoREIA, a real estate investor association, and a founder of 920HomeBuyers.com, a real estate investment firm offering multiple investing strategies.

Jason has also founded a Coaching and Mentoring Group to educate individuals and families on how to grow their real estate investing business and how to manage life's tasks. Jason began his real estate journey in 2010 at the age of 30 with the purchase of a single family home in Green Bay, Wisconsin to buy, fix and sell.

He has flipped and wholesaled 500+ homes and has become a premier property investment firm in Northeast Wisconsin. Buying, fixing and flipping single family properties has always been Jason's preferred investing strategy, he also owns several rental properties.

He has also successfully completed several short sale negotiations. Through his experience with real estate investing, Jason finds under performing properties with high potential and transforms them into quality homes. Creating win-win situations for all involved by providing his investors and clients secure and hassle free returns, and new homeowners with safe and quality properties they can call home.

Geoff Possley

Geoff is a part time buy and hold investor with investments in the Fox Valley and Sheboygan area. He is a full-time aircraft certification engineer for Gulfstream Aerospace in Appleton where he lives with his wife Laura and four children Carter, Madeline, Rowen and Brielle.

Geoff got started in real estate in 2005, with very little REI knowledge, when he purchased a single-family home with the plan to do a live-in flip over the next few years. After the bubble burst in 2008 his focus shifted from turning a profit to simply breaking even. This led Geoff to step away from real estate for a number of years until he discovered WiscoREIA in 2018 where he finally was able to acquire the knowledge and network that was necessary to be successful in real estate investing. His goal is to use REI as a means to retire early from engineering.

Geoff currently invests in single-family and small multi-family properties that he operates as traditional rentals as well as short term furnished rentals. In his free time Geoff enjoys camping with his family, playing golf, snowboarding, hunting, and good beer.

    Speaker: Tony Youngs

    Tony Youngs

Tony began his real estate investment career after attending a seminar in 1986. By applying the techniques he learned, he was able to make a profit on his first deal equal to a years wages at his regular full time job as an aircraft mechanic, an occupation he eventually gave up forever.

Tony found his niche in the foreclosure industry and has mastered the art of tracking and acquiring properties in every stage of the foreclosure process from pre-foreclosure to REO. He is the author of the amazing "Hidden Market" System, a system of finding and acquiring properties with no for sale signs, no advertizing, no competition, whatsoever, and the "7 ways to profit from one foreclosure" system. These discoveries have earned him prestigious speaking engagements on some of the biggest real estate events in the world with audiences of 30 people to 80,000.

Over time he has been involved in more than a thousand successful real estate transactions, he has negotiated with approximately 480 distressed property owners per year, averages close to 1000 property inspections, dealt with hundreds of loss mitigation departments, and since the great foreclosure crisis began in late 2007, he visits and makes 20-30 offers per month nationwide. He has attended foreclosure auctions in just about every state in the nation and established hundreds of contacts from cash investors around the country. Tony has done about 1100 title searches per year by mastering the courthouse records room in all fifty states.

Dan started his investing career in 2018 when he moved to Kenosha and bought his first property to “house hack” and begin building a rental portfolio. After struggling in real estate for 2 years, he eventually found WiscoREIA in 2020. Networking with other local investors at the monthly meetups, he quickly learned the potential to become financially free through real estate and dove in head first.

He started acquiring more rentals using the "BRRRR" method and eventually got into flips, wholesales, and creative financing. In June, 2022, Dan was able to leave his fulltime job as a mechanical engineer and start investing in real estate full time. He specializes in buying rentals with no money down and is always eager to learn new strategies to buy properties and help sellers in difficult situations.

Dan loves to share what he has learned with other investors and get those around him excited about the life-changing potential of real estate investing. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, trying new food, playing sports and snowboarding.

In 2012, Andy purchased his first commercial property and then continued his real estate investing over the years by purchasing and holding multifamily properties in the Racine/Kenosha area. His main strategy as an investor is buy and hold, but he enjoys and dabbles in BRRR, hard money lending and investing in syndicated deals. Andy built his portfolio over the years while working a full time W2 job. In 2022, Andy "Retired" from the "9 to 5" to enjoy financial freedom and continue to grow his investment portfolio and businesses. Andy and his wife own a local full-service real estate brokerage and a property management company.
