Here's a tip that will help you at least find out how high you have to go. Use the REO broker as your buying agent. He knows what all the bids are. I know he's not supposed to let that kind of information out but for the extra commission a lot will.

Eric,

We have been successful in all categories. We are just looking to expand the business a little more. We buy about 100 homes a year if we can buy a bulk package and get a nice discount for it thats the obvious progression for the business. I know there are a lot of ridiculous sellers that will just waste my time so I'm kind of looking for a direct contact to a bank / asset manager or a serious broker.

We've been buying reo's, short sale, sheriff sale, notes pretty much anyway possible. We want to start buying tapes and thought this would be a great place to start. We are probably looking to stay somewhat close to our area. We'll go outside of Illinois but dont want to get to far away from home to start.
