@Tim Herman I was only looking at the current tax history of the property which is 2000.

Should be something to think about. I do plan to bring the rent up to market which will bring the monthly income to almost $4000

@Jon Kelly I am very surprised as well with how fast they shut it down. That’s why it throws up a flag, to ask a question why? Do they expect something we are not seeing or could they not handle the amount of intense organization it would require to pull this off?

@Jody Sperling

Interesting thought.

But in most areas that I look at, the supply is still not keeping up with demand.

And from what days is telling us, the United States is 4 to 5 million houses behind. This alone will keep demand high.

Zillow is getting hammered on it failure of it’s ibuying business. They are taking a $ 500 million dollar loss and laid off 25% of its work force.

What do we think this is telling us about the housing marking?

Or was this just a poor structured bussiness model they were not prepared for?

Just a discussion.

Would you do seller financing?

Great job! I ran the numbers on that property.

Looks good. Congrats. I love the Delaware market.

Hello BP Community,

I was just wondering what would happen if you were to be let go from your job (fired), while having rental property income. Can you still collect unemployment?

I tried to look but was unable to find reliable information on it.

So I’m putting the question out there to the world, has anyone went through this before?

Hey @Matthew Brewer

I have property in Marion, a duplex and a triplex. I have looked into few managers and the one I am going to suggest is Jessica Lear.

She is a realtor with Generation realty, property manager and her husband is a contractor who does the upkeep on the properties.

Let me know if you are interested I can give you her number.

@Jennifer Dejoyvor

I have all my tenants on a month to month lease and just had to evict one of them for violating the lease.

The tenant told me I couldn’t evict them because the president said so.

The judge gave them 5 days to leave. No questions asked.

Do month to month and you give them a notice non renewal of lease/ terminating the lease that’s what did, at least it worked in Ohio.
