I'm also happy to help out to share my limited experience.
We closed on our 1st property a few weeks ago. Duplex in Chatt. Both are occupied.
The chatt investor network is super strong and everyone loves to help each other so feel free to reach out.
Congrats on the closing!
Yea I always hear good things about investor network in Chatt. I will make sure to ask lots of questions :)

@Dan Beaulieu Hi Dan! Really appreciate the information! I looked up Ooltewah and Collegedale, the two areas look really nice but low rent to sales ratio. How do you think of East Ridge?

Hello! Hope everyone is staying healthy and sane.
I am exploring Chattanooga and want to find a good cash flow rental property (buy & hold) in this market. I am trying to find more information on the specific regions to invest in. I've heard great stuff about East Ridge, Hixson, and Red Bank, and I have found some properties that I am personally interested in in East Ridge, but the crime rate in the zip codes associated with these regions seems really high. I know there probably are some nuances in the neighborhood, so I am looking for tips from people who are more familiar with the area!
Any insight will be very much appreciated!

So it’s just important to get with a good property manager who is familiar with the rents for the different areas. I personally really like East Ridge and Brainerd for buy and holds, as it seems like these areas are most likely to have a greater future value because of the development going on out there. In the city limits, Highland Park is pretty popular and Orchard Knob is gaining traction because of the activity going on in Highland Park that is moving over that way.
I know it's been long since this thread got posted. But great insights! I am looking for rental investment properties in Chattanooga and a couple properties in East Ridge really caught my eye. You mind connecting so I can ask you some more questions?
Thanks!
