Post: No Income With $35k To Invest.. How?

I have $35k saved up, roughly $20k of which I want to use as a down payment. However, I don’t have any income since I’m a full time law school student. Is it possible for me to get a loan? What would you do in my situation?
I understand this might be difficult to do, but I’m sure it’s possible. I’d really like to get started now and not have to postpone my investing until after graduation in 2 years. Any ideas?
Thanks!

@Caroline Gerardo my credit score is a 735. I’d be looking for a loan of about $75k on a $100k property. How should I go about finding a lender to do this?

Hey everyone! I’m a second year law school student and I want to start investing in real estate. However, due to my dedication to my studies, I don’t have any income at the moment.
However, I do have $35k and have been looking at some cash-flowing properties in Cleveland (the C and higher neighborhoods) and am interested in a DSCR loan. Does anyone have experience getting this type of loan? Is it possible to get a loan on a $100k duplex with 20-25% down with no income if I can show that the property will produce significant cash flow?
Thanks in advance!

What book do you recommend to learn how to wholesale?
I'm currently a student and want to wholesale until I graduate so that I can learn how real estate works. Once I graduate and get a job, I plan on doing multi-family investment.

Hey everyone,
New here! I've been interested in real estate for a a while now and have been listening to the podcast for about 6 months. Currently I'm a second year law school student in Miami and work park time during school (I make only about $500/month since most of my time is focused on studying). However, I have a full-ride, so school is free and my living situation is also free, with my only expenses being up to $300/month. I have no debt at the moment and $30k stashed away in the stock market, but want to get into real estate, specifically short term rentals probably in the Orlando area. What is the best way for me to do this? Is it possible without a significant income to get a mortgage on a single family home? Would it more likely to get approved for a mortgage if I had a parent co-sign? Any tips are greatly appreciated.

Is anyone on here an attorney that actively invests in real estate?
I'm a first year law student in Miami looking to connect with someone to get some advice from a practicing attorney/investor.

Thanks for the advice, Chad!
Where can I go to set up the keyword alerts? I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Hey everyone,
I'm from Fort Lauderdale, FL and am currently a law school student in Miami. I have always had an interest in real estate investment and luckily just recently discovered the BP community.
My question is.. what is the best way to learn on the forums? I'm interested in multi-families and want to gain as much knowledge as I can over the next three years so I feel prepared and can begin my investments as soon as I graduate. I have a 90% scholarship and have minimal expenses so I don't anticipate any debt from school that I'll need to worry about paying off.
Should I just be browsing random forums and listening to the podcasts?
Thanks in advance.
