Thanks for all the replies guys! And yes, I do plan on getting some more experience in management first before going head first. As far as the properties available to purchase goes, in this area they are slim! Slowly I have been making enough contacts to see some that aren't actually hitting the mls, but it is very difficult since most rentals in my area are owned by the same group of guys that usually just sell to one another. Figured property management was the best way to slide onto their radar. Looks like a license is in my future then! once again, thanks for the comments. Hopefully some more come my way.

Hey everyone,
Questions about laws in KY with regards to property management. I wanting to start my own property management company and eventually purchase my own properties. I already own an LLC by which I can operate under. I have read that it is required to have a brokers license to manage property in the state of KY.
So I have a couple of questions for others involved with management in KY. Is this true and is this the bottom line on the issue? Is there anyway around this via loopholes of any kind? Also if a brokers license is unavoidable, given that it has a 2 year experience as a licensed realtor requirement, what is the best way to go about doing this without taking on a career as a realtor?
Thanks
Also any other advice on the subject that wants to be given is more than welcome!

Thanks guys! I know how to view the current sticky posts, just was looking to view past sticky notes in an archive of some sort. That would be great feature if possible because I find that the sticky posts are sometimes some of the most informative. Once again, thanks for the replies.

Is there any way to view all of the past "sticky" posts in a given section? I understand that they are somewhat of a sponsored post and would like to read past posts before I was a member. If there is anyway to view a list of these on a single page, that would be awesome. Thanks

Hello,
I am new to the bigger pockets site and to real estate investing as a whole. Currently a senior studying finance at Murray State and wanting to get started in the industry. I am wanting to learn as much as possible and more than just what I can read. I have found the best way to learn is through hands-on experience. That being said is there any wholesalers or flippers in the area who might need some help this summer? Looking to connect with a potential mentor who wouldn't mind showing me the ropes while receiving some help in return. Thanks

To clarify, I'm really looking for a local mentor to allow me to learn by helping that person out. I'm not trying to solicit a job or career, just a learning experience. If it pays that is a plus!

Hi all!
Just getting started with trying to invest into real estate. I am currently still in school pursuing a degree in finance. I have contacted a few realtors in my area about part time jobs but really want to find something more related to investing and not so much reality. Since there are no meetings nearby for me to network, i am looking to this website for help. I am looking for a part-time job or internship over the summer with any investors or developers in my area. I truly just want to learn the business and it's a fact that the best way to learn is direct hands on experience. I currently manage a retail store. I have a resume and great references for anyone who may be interested. Thanks for any help or advice that comes my way!
