@Aaron Zimmerman: I am starting a new job towards the end of this year. My question is: Are there any tax considerations if I buy a home this year(my low W2 income year) vs next year(which will be my high W2 income year)?
Thank you Aaron for your input. I will certainly checkout the podcasts you recommended.
Thank you KC and Ned for your input.
@Ned Carey: I was specifically referring to a primary residence when I mentioned "home." I'm interested in understanding the timing considerations for home buying in relation to tax implications. For example:
-
Is it more advantageous to purchase a home during a low-income year or a high-income year? Is it better to buy a home at the beginning or the end of the calendar year?
While you're looking for a home, there are tax strategies and considerations that I should keep in mind in the pre-purchase phase?
Thank you so much Ashish for your input!
Thank you so much Fulton and Bill!!!
