I'm inclined to take an offer and move on.

Back then I was much more inclined to take a more concentrated risk with the somewhat limited capital we had.  

So my inclination is to have inspections.I'm just worried about something big and unforeseen going wrong, such as a pipe bursting underneath the house.

Joint ventures don't require separate filings (each owner reports his or her share of their own Schedule E); general partnerships do (Form 1065).Since your intent is to eventually incorporate and form an LLC for the property, my inclination would be to file a partnership return under the assumption that you and your partner have a general partnership and not a joint venture, but it could technically be done either way.Once the LLC is formed in 2018, you will have to file a partnership return.

However, I am more inclined to believe someone in here as opposed to other sources. which obviously needed to be fact checked.
