Large and national players may treat you and your property as just a number. 

Grocapitus is the most innovative syndication company I have ever seen though, so I would highly recommend attending their webinars and getting involved with them as an investor.For full transparency, his Marketing Director of Marketing and Social Engagement, Eric Bleau, has been my mentor for the past several months so I am a little biased, but, having personally been to multiple boot camps and having met several syndicators like Vinney Chopra and Anthony Chara, I can confidently say that Eric and Neal are two of the smartest, and most well-put-together players in the multifamily syndication world I've met. 

Crowdfunding makes real estate easily accessible, however, in regard to institutional real estate investments, the advice of an expert who works in the industry every day, knows all the players and their track records, and performs due diligence on each offering is a great benefit to you and comes to you at no cost.

A big question people should be asking themselves is "how bad do I want to get in the market" and be a player instead of observing.

The bigger players (PM companies and bigger real estate teams that do a lot of listings) get hit with fees from Zillow for listing on Zillow.
