Qualifying your deal for an LTV of 85% is turning out to be a lot of work ... not really difficult, but probably more work than your average mortgage agent/broker wants to endure.

You wont have the lung capacity, stamina, or endurance of an olympic swimmer, but you'll have the body.

Did some sleuthing online, and it looks like the owner passed away in early 2018, and I'm guessing one of the kids is selling it. 

You could get rid of them spend the money to fix it up, endure some vacancy while you are doing this, and have someone just like them move in and you start over.

(Besides, I like my cozy cave, I have a great view of all the chaos the rest of you endure. ;-)

If you are 25, I would say: find a career/calling that is rewarding enough that you don't dread doing it, do that and make some money, and strike a balance depending on how much pain you can endure.

Focus on that and cut out all the James Bond stuff the meeting on the park bench, the internet sleuthing and secretly recording conversations.

Be an innovator not a copy cat and reap the rewards, or endure the failures.
