Love Edgewood, great spot of grabbing a drink/food...not to mention beautiful facilities/grounds (especially in spring/summer)Mott Canyon Tavern & Grill ive been once, great little spot which is right by where you are staying (kingsbury grade). 

The meetup is the 2nd Tuesday of the month and we usually do it at Hickory Tavern, but we have plans to switch it up moving forward, so you have to check the emails or look in the Events section here . 

If so I'm grabbing a drink down the street at Tammany Hall Tavern if you feel like stopping by to kill time.

(Go have a beer and burger at Twin City Tavern)I think the issue of property owners asking too much is an issue all over the city.
