I have friends in Ohio, and I like Shaker Heights specifically because of the low entry point acquisition, appears to offer some two and three family property inventory, strong cash flow potential, good school systems, and I believe in the long term appreciation in Cleveland area in general.

@Matthew RichenFor a 4-bed unit in Shaker Heights, a reasonable ballpark for a full interior repaint is usually in the $2,500 to $4,500 range depending on the condition of the walls, ceiling height, number of coats needed, trim work, and whether there’s any patching or repairs involved.

Make sure you choose a good market to invest in that is landlord-friendly, has a ton of tech activity, and buy a deal that gives you $30k to $50k of equity on the purchase.
