I do agree with original post that you need to do DD but also I look at housing like buying a car - if you buy one and go to sell it within the first 1-3 years expect to lose $ on the deal - many don't believe this because they were in what I call a fairy tale economy but when housing goes back to its 1-2% appreciation and you pay 1-2% to buy and 6-8% to sell a home you can see the numbers in better light
Colin Tandy Renovation Nightmare: How a Dream Home Remodel Triggered a $91K Property Tax Bill
20 May 2025 | 5 replies
Quote from @Colin Tandy: I wanted to share a real-world cautionary tale, and might be something others here need to be aware of.A couple in Florida recently saw their property taxes jump from $15,000 to $91,000 a year after doing what many of us might call a smart long-term move: renovating and expanding their home. They kept the foundation and outer walls intact, assuming their homestead and Save Our Homes protections would remain in place.

“So we invest in that exact modality and make more money at it than anybody else.”The entrepreneur also appears in many of the ads for RAD across Facebook, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, and other applications. The pitches appear to be bearing some fruit: RAD had between 1,500 and 2,000 investors, as of late October, and was adding more at a clip of 200 per month, according to an email from a company official to Minkow.
Jorge Borges Has anyone worked with Tardus Wealth Strategies?
25 May 2025 | 150 replies
If I were wildly successful in implementing any strategy, I would keep quiet about it and enjoy my life. It's like the tale about the gold miners in California during the Gold Rush of 1849:  the only ones who made real money were the ones selling the tools and supplies to the miners.
Scott Johnson Scammed by "Estate Legal"
17 May 2025 | 38 replies
sounds like someone got a nasty gram.. we see this with the syndicators that are called out then threaten the investor who called them out.. or anyone else companing about a service only to have the company either threaten or tell them if you take this down or retract we will give you your money back.. kind of like landlords lying about how great their dead beat tenant is to just get them to move on to the next landlord.
