We rented an apartment once that was occupied by two separate refugee families, supported by the same agency.

If the only parting gift was an old mattress..you got off very lightly :)Recycled mattresses......we have a fellow investor that is renting a Buffalo slum to a church for refugees.

I am going to try and be polite but you have to understand is that people or refugees come to the US from war torn countries in Africa and the Middle East and the US is actually to blame for a lot of the issues there at hand.

It was about a family who emmigrated to the US from a wartorn African nation as refugees.

CBC reported "Refugees, some international students and people with work permits would be exempt from the policy."

Investors definitely played a part, but the biggest transformation came as a collaborative effort with the non-profits in the area, assisting in the resettlement of refugees and immigrants to the area.  

I currently have hurricane refugees in all 3 of my places, and they are staying for multiple months each. 

Although, considering the number of California refugees there, it might soon secede to CA. :) 

I have an early 60's working couple, both on their 3rd marriage, struggling to find a modest 1bedroom ground floor apartment for $1300/month.Then again we have a refugee couple that had their $1200/month rent guaranteed by the sponsoring church for 2 years.

I came to this country as a temporary refugee, worked in swear shops and factories as a kid.
