Hi Robb,Lenders are not required to use AMC's (Appraisal management company's) but a lot of them do because it creates a "firewall," between the borrower, loan officer, and other parties that might cause liability risk to the lender.Some lenders have their own vetted panels of appraisers (bank or lending company vet's them out prior to assigning the appraisal assignments to them).

|----NASThe ISP does not play a part as the controls are in the router.1) the NAS MUST have a constant address;  that's done with a STATIC address or an Address reservation2) the port forward is from the router, to the NAS address, for the port(s) you need - - and that depends upon the software accessing the NAS3) the remote user access then needs to know the PUBLIC ip address of your router -- see http://checkip.dyndns.org/Just so you know, this setup is NOT protected by any firewall or antivirus so if an intruder probes and finds it, you can expect all kinds of problems, including have those files stolen

We failed miserably and I ended up needing to shift the stairs back for headroom/landing requirements, bring in a structural engineer to sign off on work, redoing the plumbing rough-in for tub for fire wall separation between units, constructing a new 1 hr fire wall in basement, etc.
