@Scott Painter Wondering what the outcome of this was?

She has linoleum in some spots and the carpet is the original from 1982.I’m looking for some recommendations for flooring installers, painters, and countertop vendors.

I have met with several GCs, and individual repairmen (painters, roofers,etc.) as I am trying to determine best route (piece it all together or have GC handle it all). 

For me, it's well worth the risk to hire an interior painter without insurance; it's well worth the risk to hire a plumber without insurance; it's well worth the risk to hire a tile guy without insurance.  

I've done both ways - business casual and homeless painter plumber- and it hasn't mattered.

I called a painter and he said it cost 2k for the whole house.  

It will be easy to find properties, but it may take a longer time to build your "team" of people, such as attorney, contractor, Realtors, painters, etc.  

Therefore, putting a device in before Sheetrock is not a good idea, for the electrician, the drywall contractor, or the painter.

Cleaners and house painters seem to be very flaky and can show up on time, or not at all in my experience.

I found a great painter through thumbtack but struck out on plumbers.
