I raided my personal home for home decor and brought these choice pieces to the rental home. 

It may not be an investment that some posters here on BP would make, but it beats the heck out of buying fantasy numbers on a piece of paper decorated with cupcakes and rainbows and it sure beats hanging out doing nothing because your first deal didn't work out.

Other family members did the decorations at the church.

You then buy or rent the furniture which is a cost and decorate it and put it on the STR sites and you are in business.

It makes your decorations, picture frames pop.

Or if you were the owner who spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on professional decorations, table clothes, silverware, real estate rent, taxes, insurance, etc. and some $5 subway folks come in and take up space that other customers would otherwise occupy so they can schmooze/network with clients to attempt to make themselves rich? 

Id suggest a fence or decorative fence for the lady with the dogs pooing in  her yard.. 

I totally agree with @Joel Owens on the decor.

Its a hip roof so no wall is taller than 9' other than a small decorative gable over the porch.
