Use your home field advantage, it's worth at least 20% - even going to Milwaukee (which is a slightly better market) makes you an OOS investor and that more than eats up the small benefit.

UNLESS you are pretty good at picking stocks, marketing to find real estate or know a whole bunch about a certain industry.You have to have strong knowledge of whatever field that you are going to invest in.

Asking questions helps learn about that field which can be used in the future and narrow down costs.
