You can propose your rent amount like you would with a regular tenant, but it has to fall within their payment standards for that zip code and unit size, and they’ll confirm it’s reasonable compared to other rentals nearby.

One is the scenario I propose a good idea both financially and tax wise if anyone knows.

I (1) don't invest in STRs, and (2) don't know much about you, but I always get nervous when people propose buying an STR solely for tax reasons.
