In fact my next move in the immediate future is going to be a standard width Sprinter conversion or the like with a generator, potty/shower, bed, a place to store my surfboard/s and bicycles and a good supply of necessities.

I may politely inquire about their interests if I see them heading out with a surfboard or party gift but not too deep.

In literal terms, I'd love have a paid-for house on the canals (of Venice, CA), a German Shepherd, a surfboard to head down to MB, and give back to the Venice community while living there.

I am not a surfer, as in never once even touched a surf board; but how in the world do you surf on Lake Tahoe?

Do you offer bicycles or surfboards, are you urban or rural and have complimenting vendors to supply goods and services your guests might desire.

There are just as nice or nicer nature spots through the U.S. without the traffic and high taxes.I personally think Hawaii's weather trump's CA's left front and center.California's surf breaks are too small and not enough, whereas Hawaii is world class.I also don't want to drive 45 minutes to go to a hike with a decent view, when I can drive 5 minutes in Hawaii.Also, I personally enjoy travel to Asia (easier from HI) than Europe (easier from CA), and not by a small margin.Way more upsides and way less homeless people in Hawaii (than what the posters in this thread described about LA and SF).I can walk 4 minutes to the beach with surfboard in hand in many parts of Oahu.
