There is no list server for probate, as every municipality performs the process somewhat differently and my guess is that there are certain 'firewalls' on city records that don't allow automated data mining (this is speculative, but Milwaukee uses the 'captcha' enter the number thing).

You will probably arrive at the same conclusion as anyone else..Think of an LLC as a firewall, it can contain the fire in one segement of your portfolio and avoid loosing everything.

Also, the rent is usually less than a SFR but the same or a little more than an apartment.One of our duplexes has a firewall and separate utilities, so although both units are currently deeded together, we have the option of separating them and selling them off individually in the future if we wanted to.

I invited a structural engineer to the property who told me there is no structural issues with the house and the wall that runs along the hall is not a load bearing wall but to extend the living room, dining room, kitchen and bedrooms into that space would require at least 3 foundation footings, a foundation beam and a 1 hour firewall to be built.

No firewall between the house and attic, the furnace gas had shut off valves that require a tool to turn, and other issues that were -actual- safety concerns.So, really, the towns only care about appearances and getting some extra cash.
