If you look at countries where gun ownership is illegal, gun violence is negligible compared to countries where gun ownership is legal (plenty of sources out there, use Google).In fact, even in the United States, if you compare states where there is more gun regulation to states where there is less, those states with less gun regulation have lower number of gun related deaths (source: http://cdn.thedailybeast.com/content/dailybeast/articles/2012/07/20/gun-violence/_jcr_content/body/inlineimage_1.img.503.jpg/1342791216112.cached.jpg)Just my $.02...
