Some of these people want to get the cash out of China or Hong Kong or Korea, and put it somewhere stable, and they don't care about returns.

I'm aware there's another BP member from Hongkong asking the same question not long ago about how he should invest his $100k and got answers for a property somewhere in LA.

@Gary Kong My main motive is to hold it for 5 years or so and live there personally and then sell it for higher price. 

@Khai Hong You're absolutely right, a big CAPEX can wipe out all your cash flow.
