As @Jay Hinrichs @Chris Baxter and @Bjorn Ahlblad mentioned the culture has shifted so far into an entitlement mindset and supposed haves vs. have nots that I feel like we just need to do our part to change that narrative locally.  

I'm excited to see how WFH culture changes and grows the STR industry here in WA and elsewhere...

Here in Seattle, Floating Homes have been a part of Seattle Culture (Sleepless in Seattle and many more films feature them!)

Culturally, mine is also much more open with finances than the typical American.  

I doubt the high-minded justify their 'necessary' backpacking trip around Thailand or their European jaunt to become more cultured. 

My guess is that, even though the post is directed at no one in particular, some people aren't solid on their investment strategy or knowledge so they interpret the post to be about them.The even weirder part is actually real-life Bro culture to a tee.

We do have more than a few US and Canada clients these days, however - they seem to be more open minded than they were in previous years, at least as far as Asia is concerned, and Japan is Asia Pacific's biggest investment market, second only to the USA globally - it was just a matter of time before they got over the cultural fear and realised what a cashflow heaven the place is...Good to hear from you man, let's make a point to catch up soon!

FYI  - i actually have a video up on scam training on youtube - some definitely are, doesnt mean everyone is. the reality is if you need to be trained to buy a rental house  I think you have some bigger issues... if you need to be trained how to work in a certain area that can be different as cultures do change through out the US.. 

Things like travel, first and foremost, because I have not been exposed to many other parts of the world and/or other cultures, and I would like to be.

This niche is very foreign to the investors here for a multitude of reason - class, race, socio-economic familiarity, culturally, etc.And I don't think they are necessarily wrong for that!!
