For many of us, the natural beauty, the job opportunities, the weather, the diversity, the liberal mindset of people etc. are an icing on the cake and trust me that icing is awesome even if it costs an extra dime or two.

I am 50 years old and have decided to get into rentals to supplement my income and possibly retire at 60 (any earlier would be icing on the cake).Is anybody else in a similar situation?

The common hockey analogy used amongst investors is, "skate to where the puck is going to be, not to where it has been."

And now we have melting polar ice caps.The ex-landlord of one of our tenants set her apartment on fire for the insurance money. 

That makes as much sense as two dolphins playing hockey.

Who knows, maybe we'll even get some of those those fancy ice cream shops like North Seattle has.

But I need to get the first deals or transactions done, 'to break the ice', and to see a path to replicate.
