It is not very common to see syndication deals with 1031 money allowed.

I'm guessing you have a common area hallway that you will have to heat in winter; that you would probably do with electric baseboard.

The commonality amongst most are small check sizes and the inability to articulate what exactly they invested in.  

A common piece of advice I received was to really put together a good team and find your Core 4 team members.

The biggest difference is you are likely on the hook for more of the expenses: landscaping, any common area utilities, possibly trash/dumpster.
