Midland ranked first in job creation followed by Odessa, College Station-Bryan, Austin-Round Rock, Dallas-Plano-Irving, Fort Worth-Arlington, and San Antonio-New Braunfels.The state’s actual unemployment rate was 4.1 percent.

I'm currently living in Plano and I'm looking into rentals properties around the surrounding areas.

It is an interesting mixture of different size cities, different weather and different wealth levels. 1 Fremont, CA 2 Bismarck, ND 3 San Jose, CA 4 Pearl City, HI 5 Plano, TX 6 Fargo, ND 7 Sioux Falls, SD 8 Irvine, CA 9 Huntington Beach, CA 10 Grand Prairie, TX 11 Madison, WI 12 Columbia, MD 13 San Francisco, CA 14 Scottsdale, AZ 15 Overland Park, KS 16 Santa Clarita, CA 17 Glendale, CA 18 Oakland, CA 19 St.

I would also say, expect property taxes to go up, a lot.I think you might find things a little cheaper to the west of Dallas/Plano/Frisco.

Hi everyone,Asking for some advice on specific condo/townhouse communities you are aware of in Coppell/Plano/Frisco ISD which have units priced at <$200K (preferably <$150K) and would attract higher-quality tenants with school-age kids due to the excellent schools. 

I do have my RV which I will be keeping near Plano.

@Abhi Patel Hot emerging markets in Texas that I know of right now are in the Anna area (North of Plano and Dallas), Haslet area (North of Fort Worth), Aledo (West of Fort Worth), Georgetown (North of Austin), Buda (South of Austin, Northeast of San Marcos).
