I have literally heard people say that throughout my entire adult life.

I'm sympathetic to the younger folks (insert college expense rant here), but when I look at the older folks part of my brain just goes "OK, so you've been an adult for almost 30 years now after having had an opportunity to go college for basically free, and in that entire time you haven't been able to save even 3.5% down to get out of the rat race?"

Top-rate schools, new hospitals and burgeoning tech and specialized trade activity means a lot of new families, transitioning professionals and working adults needing housing but not necessarily in the market for purchasing property.
