As an adult, you KNOW that just because a property is sitting vacant doesn’t mean it does not have a owner, RIGHT?.

Mine is in Hoke County, you might be able to call the law (that's the proper term in that area) and have the officer go talk to the adult.

They are adults and must take responsibility for their choices. 

I had done some research into adult foster care as an option for renting it out this time around.

As long as 2 legal adults sign a contract that is a LEGALLY BINDING CONTRACT and once you open escrow on with that contract you then have what is called EQUITABLE INTEREST in that property so sell away bro 

Our big mistake we took them in, and we didn't screen all the adult instead one person and the primary signed holder had been moved out. 

While I agree with@Richard C.that the assisted living facilities are highly regulated and complex (I handled some of these claims when I was in claims, and have a friend in Los Angeles who is a caseworker for adult facilities), and the insurance for an assisted living, or any home health care type of facility is expensive, because you not only have the common General Liability issues, but you also have the Physical/Sexual Abuse liability issues...and other insurance issues too.However, from a strictly property perspective, you can be the owner of the facility and simply provide the property for the facility, and those who operate it would be responsible for the insurance required to run their business from the property you own.

I think I'm just going to write a nice letter to the adult daughter in town.
