To be honest, I don't think you can answer these questions, or won't.

Perhaps the big 3 have changed their scoring policies (in the past, multiple hits have had far more than a 5 point drop) but then again I trust the credit bureau's honesty about this topic slightly less than I trust corner store sushi.

Think of it this way, if you purchase a $300K home and keep a renter in it for 30 years, when you are ready to retire that home will be completely paid off and in all honestie would probably have appreciated to closer to $600K.  

Seems like semantics to me.

As a PM who has been in this scenario before, they would appreciate your honesty and appreciate being given a chance to correct it. 

I just try to lead with honesty and also try to post in a way that would, if it had any effect, make REI a more trustworthy industry.

In all honesty, I saw this topic and was almost afraid to walk into the room and read the responses I expected to find.

To be honest, I have buyers who like the cheaper purchase price to get more doors.
