The money is guaranteed, no one is running around with pit bulls and smoking god knows what and I get a free inspection each year by the Oakland Housing Authority or the Contra Costa Housing Authority. 

For me it is better to find a really good deal (meaning price way below market), renting the property for a few years and then selling it, instead of chasing quick flips, or following the cashflow mantra.I don't really see any reason to rush and purchase properties when prices are hitting 8 year highsThis week I attended a conference call with the CEO of a big airline in Europe, who defined the current market as «a rollercoaster», impossible to predict, and gave a grim outlook of the current situation of air traffic and the airline industry..When people don't fly or travel, aircraft manufacturers don't make money, carmakers lower production, rental car companies go bankrupt, car sales go down, and people are being fired by millions.. maybe it's the time to be patientEven oil traded at negative prices just a few months ago!

I worked on aircraft in the Marines for 8 years, got out, and used my VA loan to get me into a very pricey Fort Collins market, while working a job with a good wage because of my aviation experience, WHILE earning another income to go to school utilizing the GI bill.

I'm a captain/paramedic, currently assigned to the Aircraft Rescue Firefighting Special Team.

Over on my aircraft owners and Pilots forum I am a member of.. some of the bay area pilots are now talking about a bubble etc.. although these guys all own 500k  to 10 million dollar planes.. so they will probably be OK.. 

The Air Force is a bit more challenging, units will move to joint bases and certain aircraft can be phased out and replaced (and their domicile closed). 

Most the "guys" (at the time, a female aero engineer was rare) were 20 yrs older and were some the early employees at Douglas Aircraft in El Segundo, CA.  

A couple of my friends do that - not many people good at it so you can command what you want - and lots of Machine shops in the area/Aircraft. 

Same with Contra Costa county, but probably it’s infinitely better than Alameda county in terms of price and profit potential.

Just offering my opinions and challenging anyone to consider if a different approach may find business and profit where they never considered before.And here is my Lamborghini / dream:Velocity V-Twin Kit Airplane kit planes are cool and all but it takes 2 to 5 years of your life and whoa is the day you rig the ailerons backwards and auger in on your first flight in your experimental aircraft..
