How serious is the legislation against AirBnB/VRBO in La Jolla?

Some of you may know about Councilman Kenyon McDuffie's Airbnb legislation to curb some business practices in the District of Columbia.

Student rentals have existed for many decades, are well established and fully recognised and supported by the legislation.

Yes some bleeding hearts will try to pass pro-tenant legislation, but don't expect an uprising.

I'm in the process of writing and asking my state legislators to extend Housing Court Rule 603 statewide; it seems very logical.

I don't care which party affiliation, how good they are, and which lobbyist pays their bills - the personal ones and the legislative ones...

Things I remember learning from the course, and now forget: how many sq ft an acre is, what the "back 40" means, random information about where property rights end if you buy along a body of water (being in Ohio, this means lake or river).Things I learned, that I have never used while investing: All the random legislation like Fair Housing Act, lending laws, etc, when these laws were enacted, which one covers religion and which covers age...  

The attorney who maintains it is also the guy who writes most of our legislation, so it is always adjusted to any changes in state law.

However, I want to make sure I mitigate as much risk as I can by working with an expert in moving rezoning documents thru  legislative bodies in Escambia county.
