You can express sorrow for what he's going through but not make it sound like you're accepting blame.

@Russell Brazil I could not agree with you more, I've had three separate real estate investor clients call me over the past week/weekend to express a desire to sell what on the market at whatever price they can get so they can get out and get on the sidelines.As much as I believe that is a bad idea, I  personally am ramping up my efforts to buy as I believe there will be great opportunities for those of us who are ready and positioned to make a move.

Schools have already been closed, so people "know", but their total lack of care is concerning to me and makes me expect rapid infection growth in the US (as we have seen in Europe - they are just 2 weeks ahead of us in the curve).Some of my buyers have expressed that the impact on their stock portfolio is causing down payment concerns, but will still go forward.

So, thanks to your comment, I was reminded why I generally don't like to make negative comments: some people could take it the wrong way.I'm not sure that this was worth a personal attack but that's the risk one takes when expressing a strong opinion.
