I have reached out the the Secretary of Commerce to inquire if property owners will be given similar protections to enable us to catch up or in the event of a foreclosure to ensure a change of ownership will not affect our residents.

But I'm going to continue to enjoy my monogamous relationship with my wife, have a few beers with my friends, occasionally enjoy a peanut butter sandwich and continue to use long term low interest loans that enable me to purchase cash flow producing real estate.

If you buy a duplex, you can apparently count part of the actual/potential rent from the other side right out the gate to increase the income you can show on your loan application for that first property, which can qualify you for a higher loan amount (thus enabling you to buy a larger duplex or in a nicer neighbourhood).
