I never realized how much I appreciated consistent sunshine and access to a coastline until I went to school elsewhere haha.I haven't spent significant time as far south as you're potentially looking, but I have a lot of friends who enjoyed growing up down there as well.

Here in southern California with its miles and miles of coastline, amusement parks, recreation, sporting events, cultural offerings, etc. and year round perfect weather, there's a big demand for vacation rentals.
