Consider used furniture.

The house I'm working on right now ended up getting 700-800 sq feet of unplanned new flooring (plus removing of that 700-800 sq feet of glued in laminate flooring) and a rebuilt cabinet due to water damage that was hidden by strategically placed furniture.  

There are also staging apps you can use to fill the rooms of those great photos with furniture and decor that makes people want to go see it.

But yes, that would include things like furniture and appliances.

I didn’t have furniture in my house for about a year, that got old for my girlfriend.

They can chew on walls and furniture.

I think the house shows a lot better with furniture in it (especially if congruent with photos) but that is an expensive proposition to move everything back in to show it.

As I keep saying, even today I live in a commercial with my wife, two children and we have zero furniture with the exception of office desks, mattress sets and a few tables.
