A couple nuggets:I'm glad we purchased a smaller cabin in the market that I didn't know (great smoky mountains) as it's occupancy is much higher and I have a pretty good idea of what income will be each month.Our 2nd beach condo is across the street from the beach without beach access (you have to drive or walk .25 a mile).

When I purchased the property, the pine trees were swaying in the wind, the skies were beautiful, blue, and the stream running from the mountains past my house was calm and beautiful. when I moved in it was raining, the stream was overflowing, and the pastor was flooding.

I remember when one started in Ukiah and burnt over to Lakeport and took out 90% of cow mountain area.. but the majority of that was just low brush chaparral.. now its in the old growth forests and that is a tragedy.
