Thanks Frank, I have my own set of "wall hangings" over my computer too.  

I am on my phone right now so searching and pasting links to other threads is a bit of a PITA though I am sure his responses are easy to find if you are at a computer. 

I have a huge library on my computer from all the years in the business.

This would be similar to using section 179 for a new computer for the rental business.

Find a good local cleaning company and you can do most of the managing from behind your computer screen.

Most, are not, in which case you could choose anything random: a part of a sailboat name, a part of a movie name, a pet's name, a childhood memory, a snipet from a quote. 

He was all upset because his computer wouldn't work but they finally figured out how to run an extension cord from another outlet.

Then since you have access to a computer and internet, find a rehabber/cash buyer to buy the homes you've found and have him/her pay you a finder fee...CASH MONEY!

There are a number of BP folks in the Bend / Central Oregon area and a few of us are organizing loose meetings so there should be plenty of opportunity to make friends and talk real estate :) If memory service @Justin Cutter is also a pilot so you guys might have things in common beyond investing.
